Without the timely intervention of doctors, my delivery would not have ended well.
Dear Sir,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the medical team at the Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology at the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague “U Apolináře,” who delivered our son Tomášek in August 2023 and took care of both me and him after the birth. I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, midwives, and physiotherapists from the delivery room (PS 1), the intensive care unit, and the postnatal ward for their precise individual care and their professional and very kind approach.
This is our second experience with the U Apolináře maternity hospital—our first son, Jakub, was born here in December 2019. Both children were delivered by doctors via C-section due to failure to progress in labor. During the second delivery, the baby was not doing well on the monitor during contractions, the doctors reacted immediately and, after removing the baby, confirmed a complication with the umbilical cord.
I realize that without the correct decision by the doctors and without the cesarean section, both of my stalled deliveries would have had a completely different outcome. We will always be grateful to you for the birth of our children.
Thank you.
