Premature, but beautiful ending
It has been a little over a year since our two boys were born. We are very grateful for all the prenatal care and support provided by Dr. Vojtěch and his high-risk pregnancy department. Thanks to them, we made it to the end, albeit prematurely, but ultimately successfully.
The boys were born at 29+6 weeks and after the birth they spent another two months at Apolinář Hospital, where they were gradually cared for in the ARO, JIP and IMP 2 and 1 departments. In all departments, they received the best care from nurses and doctors, and we also received psychological support and understanding.
A big thank you also goes to the lactation nurses, who made it possible for us to leave the hospital with full breastfeeding. The boys now have no health problems and are developing normally for their corrected age.
Last but not least, I would also like to thank the Nedoklubko organization, where I looked for stories during my pregnancy and after giving birth began attending their regular Wednesday meetings in the library, which helped me a lot.
Despite all the pitfalls and hardships of my time in the hospital, I have fond memories of it because, thanks to everyone’s efforts, it was actually a wonderful time spent with our children—and for that, I am very grateful to everyone.
