A second chance at life

My name is Ivana Neuvirthová (Dědičová), I am 60 years old and thanks to the great doctors and nurses from the oncogynecological center at Apolinář, I was given a second chance at life. No one likes to hear a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, but the empathetic experts here have been a great support to me from the beginning. The nurses from the inpatient ward during chemotherapy, their advice and support, and then all the staff from the postoperative ICU and G1, where I spent several weeks. Their interest and willingness to support me, not only with their work, but also with the time they spent with me, when they gave me a kind word, certainly helped my recovery. My big thanks go to all the doctors, namely Professor Cibul and Doctor Frühauf, who operated on me. I will never cease to be grateful to everyone at Apolinář for their highly professional, but also very kind approach to me – a woman unknown to them, whose life had collapsed at one point. They helped me get back on my feet.

They have my gratitude.
