Anesthesiology Department at the Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology
We are a team of experienced anesthesiologists and intensivists at the Department of Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and Intensive Care Medicine (KARIM), which provides anesthesia and treats serious complications in all gynecological and obstetric procedures at the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and the General University Hospital in Prague.
As one of the few facilities in the Czech Republic, we provide:
- administration of obstetric epidural analgesia 24/7,
- we provide consultative services 24/7 for serious and complicated cases,
- we care for patients in life-threatening conditions in our state-of-the-art resuscitation department (located in the main VFN campus, U Nemocnice 2).
-
With a referral issued at the gynecology clinic, schedule a preoperative examination and laboratory tests with your general practitioner 7-21 days before the planned surgery.
-
Make an appointment at the Anesthesiology Clinic at least 7 days before the surgery date.
