Pre-Laparoscopy Guide
What to Expect and How to Prepare:
If you have received a referral from your primary gynecologist for a laparoscopy, the information below will help you better understand the process before, during, and after the procedure.
1. Scheduling an Appointment:
Visit the General Clinic reception (ground floor, right) on weekdays in the morning or call +420 224 967 019 to schedule your appointment.
2. First Visit:
Arrive for your scheduled examination, during which our doctor will examine you. If a procedure is needed, you can immediately schedule a date.
During the visit, you will receive all necessary information about the procedure, the required documents, and answers to any questions you may have.
3. Preoperative Examination:
Once you know the date of your laparoscopy, schedule a preoperative examination with your general practitioner, which is required before the procedure.
4. Day of the Procedure:
Arrive on the scheduled date at the General Clinic reception (ground floor, right) for admission. After admission, a nurse will inform you about the procedure and what to expect.
5. Procedure and Discharge:
If everything goes without complications, you may be discharged the day after the procedure, depending on the type of surgery. It is recommended to have someone accompany you to assist with any belongings.
