Dear Professor,<\/p>\n

I am a new mother of a two-month-old full-term baby boy who was born at the Apolin\u00e1\u0159 maternity hospital. This was possible thanks to the dedicated care of your staff\u2014not only Dr. Kouck\u00fd and his team, but also the nurses on the high-risk ward, the midwives in the delivery room, the postpartum ward nurses, and the nurses in the neonatal ward. In the past, I experienced two other maternity hospitals in Prague and Ho\u0159ovice\u2014one ended sadly, while in the other my little girl, born at 24+5 weeks, was cared for and is now completely healthy. After those experiences, I did not leave my third pregnancy to chance. Along with the wonderful people at your maternity hospital, I also sought specialists in immunology, hematology, and gynecology. Thanks to this teamwork, I went through a carefully monitored and relatively normal pregnancy with a wonderful outcome I hardly dared to hope for. The birth of my full-term son restored my faith in my womanhood, my body, and my self-confidence as a woman after everything I had been through.<\/p>\n

The reason I am writing to you is that, compared to other maternity hospitals, Apolin\u00e1\u0159 was absolutely exceptional in one aspect: the humanity and kindness of the staff. Wherever I went, I never met anyone who was in a bad mood. The approach was professional yet personal, even though I was just one of many. Especially the nurses, but also the doctors in every department I encountered, were outstanding. I deeply appreciate having been in your care and am grateful I did not have to go through neonatology (which, I believe, is also excellent at Apolin\u00e1\u0159), an area I know all too well from previous experiences at another Prague maternity hospital. While that neonatology unit was outstanding both medically and personally, I cannot say the same about the prenatal care there. That is why I felt compelled to give you this feedback about the colleagues you have around you \ud83d\ude0a.<\/p>\n
