Self-sampling kit for HPV DNA<\/h1>

You can request a self-sampling kit for the HPV DNA test from your general practitioner as a self-payer and take the sample yourself without any embarrassment.<\/h3>\r\n

Thanks to the ASTRA project, selected general practitioners are now also involved in cervical cancer prevention.<\/strong> Women now have the option of having themselves tested for HPV directly at their GP’s office. The ASTRA project is a pilot project for cervical cancer screening that introduces human papillomavirus genome detection using self-sampling kits at general practitioners for women who have not participated in existing screening for a long time. HPV tests are then evaluated using PCR technology in a certified laboratory.<\/p>\n

You can also purchase a self-collection test for HPV at the Patient Information Center in Apolin\u00e1\u0159. We do not profit from the sale of self-collection tubes + tests; you only pay for the laboratory examination.<\/p>\n

The ASTRA project has been approved by the Ethics Committee in Hradec Kr\u00e1lov\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Data from the ASTRA project will be evaluated by \u00daZIS- National Screening Center.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/section>\r\n \n\n \r\n \r\n

“The HPV DNA test, whether in the form of a self-test at a general practitioner’s office or a test taken at a gynecologist’s office, is an extremely sensitive way to determine the risk of cervical cancer. A negative test result indicates an extremely low risk of developing serious precancerous changes or cervical cancer for several years to come. It is a simple test without enormous costs, which is very suitable for every woman over 30 years of age,”<\/strong> explains Prof. MUDr. Ji\u0159\u00ed Sl\u00e1ma, Ph.D., head physician of the Gynecological Oncology Department and deputy head of the Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology at the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General University Hospital in Prague (Apolin\u00e1\u0159).<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/section>\r\n \n\n \r\n
